The Calcutta Rowing Club, in association with INTACH, hosted a unique culinary session titled
“Mamsaudanam to Zer Biriyan: In Search of the Delectable Heritage of Biryani” by renowned culinary researcher Mr. Nilanjan Hajra.
The event traced the evolution of Biryani in India, exploring how a complex fusion of royal kitchens, regional influences, and migration turned this dish into a beloved staple. The talk concluded with a specially curated Biryani tasting by Biryanishk, leaving attendees both enlightened and well-fed.
