Blue Plaque Unveiled at Historic Calcutta Cricket and Football Club

A proud moment for Kolkata’s sporting heritage—INTACH Calcutta Chapter, led by Convener Mr. G.M. Kapur, unveiled the INTACH Blue Plaque honouring the Calcutta Cricket and Football Club (CC&FC) on its historic legacy in sports and games.

The plaque was unveiled by legendary Olympian Gurbux Singh, with tennis icon Leander Paes in attendance. Founded in 1792, CC&FC stands as one of India’s oldest sports institutions, with a legacy deeply rooted in Kolkata’s colonial and sporting history. The event was attended by club members, INTACH representatives, and heritage enthusiasts.
